Crystal clear innovation in vaping category

GLOBAL vape brand SKE has unveiled its new product line-up with an ambition to dominate the category following on from the disposable vape ban.
Marking a first for the vaping brand, SKE unveiled its new vaping range during the Vaper Expo UK weekend in Birmingham which took place between 9-11 May.
The new range comes fully compliant ahead of the single-use ban and offers some cutting edge technology within the category.
The champion product is the new SKE BAR, a pre-filled pod system which retains the same design and flavour portfolio that SKE customers are already familiar with from the brand’s disposable SKE Crystal Bar range.
With this, SKE reckons this new addition will be an ideal product for retailers’ shelves who are looking to reassure customers in making the switch over to compliant devices through variants that shoppers already know and trust.
Chris Dong, UK regional director for SKE, said: “Over the past three years, we have focused on doing business honestly and responsibly, gained strong support from customers across the UK and listed our products in big key accounts including Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Asda, Morrisons, One Stop and many more.
“SKE is now in over 30,000 stores across the UK but we are proud of more than just numbers and have made sustainability and social responsibility a big part of what we do. We have cut down on disposable plastic in our packaging by over 50%.”
The SKE BAR also makes up only one of eight new products from SKE, all of which are fully compliant with UK regulations and offer some exciting new additions for retailers’ vaping range.
Following on from SKE BAR, the brand has also revealed the new SKE 600 PRO. The new device contains magnetically-secured pods, a one-piece body with a hour-long battery life as well and fast-charging USB-C port.
Upcoming devices also include a new two-pod SKE CL2000 with transparent casing, a more compact 8,000 puff SKE Airy 8000 and the SKE PULX Air which the brand has described as an “entry level” open system for vapes.
The SKE PULX open system also features a 2.21 inch touchscreen display for added convenience and versatility of use. These new devices come with Bluetooth pairing as well as a puff tracker feature to allow shoppers to interact further with their device via their smartphone.
Further to this, there is also the new SKE Edge X with a triple-layer leak-proof technology and the innovative SKE Airknows, which features a unique ceramic air heating system which allows the user to inhale the device without producing vapour and could be a game changer for the sector, particularly within travel.
All of these new products have been backed by a complete makeover for the brand including a new identity, a refreshed logo design, new visual elements and packaging to help identify the brand’s product range and deter counterfeiters.
Dong said: “We firmly believe that the regulatory changes within the UK represent an opportunity for innovation and change.
“As we launch our brand new look, SKE will keep leading the way – focusing on quality, ethics and providing the products our customers really need.
“This is a defining and significant moment for SKE as we introduce a more diverse product lineup which includes refillable pod systems, open systems with replaceable tanks and vapour-free products, catering for all retail formats and to a wide range of consumers, from entry-level to premium product lines.”
