Brand makeover is set to create a buzz in the market

INDEPENDENT honey products producer The Scottish Bee Company has unveiled its new look for 2025 as it seeks to expand its ever-growing portfolio in the year ahead.
The Tranent-based food firm has set out its ambitions to expand the business further across the year and, in doing so, support Scotland’s eco-system by resuscitating the country’s rapidly declining bee population.
And the opportunity to do so is a clear one, with only the UK only producing 14% of the annual honey usage the nation gets through, making artisanal operators such as The Scottish Bee Company a champion in the space to deliver for consumers across the UK.
Not only this, but the firm is set to build on the growth that it had laid down in 2024. This included the launch of an innovative chocolate spread, that was made using honey as opposed processed sugars, a Kimchi-infused hot honey product which rolled out in time to take advantage of the growing consumer trend for category.
And the firm also purchased soft drinks brand Nuisance Drinks during 2024, a range of low-calorie botanical brews and tonics made using some more unique natural ingredients such as nettles, brambles or dandelions.
Suzie Millar, co-founder of The Scottish Bee Company, said: “Fine quality food and drinks are now being appreciated like never before as growing numbers of consumers realise the glaring downsides associated with mass-market ultra-processed offerings.
“Fine honey enthusiasts from across the UK and overseas are tracking us down as they explore honey’s unrivalled versatility (baking, home-cooking condiments, post-gym pick-me-up, breakfast time hero, etc) and interest that fuelled our appetite to own a new compelling brand that reflected our growth ambitions.”
