Discounter stores firm Lidl has marked its latest award win at the World Whisky Awards 2025 with a new tongue-in-cheek ad for the Ben Bracken Single Malt.

DISCOUNTER stores firm Lidl has marked its latest award win at the World Whisky Awards 2025 with a new tongue-in-cheek photoshoot.

In a nod to the recent The Glenmorangie campaign featuring Star Wars actor Harrison Ford, Lidl’s winning whisky brand Ben Bracken has been pictured in the hands of a “dashing silver fox” who has donned the official Lidl Tartan in the Highlands for a photoshoot.

Lidl’s Ben Bracken Islay Single Malt was awarded both Gold and Category Winner in the World Whisky Awards 2025 and has taken the chance to poke fun at the recent campaign, with a tagline of ‘Is that…Harrison Af(Ford)able?’ that highlights the £18.49 price tag of the dram.

A spokesperson for Lidl said: “In what could be coined as a whisky ‘Star Wars’, Lidl’s very own award winner is pictured in the hands of a dashing silver fox proudly donning the official Lidl Tartan in Bonnie Scotland.

“A nod to a recent campaign from a familiar big brand, Lidl’s whisky is conveniently an af(Ford)able £18.49.

“Fit for the Aisle of Fame, Lidl’s Ben Bracken Islay Single Malt was awarded Gold at the World Whisky Awards, and voted best tasting in its category.
