Christmas begins on Scotland’s TVs
SCOTLAND’S national soft drink brand is back on the TV again for Christmas as the iconic Irn-Bru Snowman advert makes its annual return.
Helping to ring in the season for many consumers in the country, the new advert has been on the air since 1 December and will run throughout the entire month.
The Snowman’s return also heralds the start of a busy soft drinks season for retailers, as many shoppers already associate Christmas with the Irn-Bru Snowman.
The much-loved and anticipated campaign reaches around 75% of adults in the country, making Irn-Bru an absolute must during the festive season.
The ad will be supported by a high-impact digital and social media campaign and forms part of the brand’s ÂŁ6million annual investment.
To help support this, Barr has urged retailers to stay well stocked on all three variants of Irn-Bru including Regular, Sugar Free and XTRA to help drive seasonal category sales and appeal to every consumer demand this season.
A spokesperson for AG Barr said: “Soft drinks are increasingly important to retailers at Christmas, and particularly carbonates. Irn-Bru claims all of the top three spots in other flavoured carbonates and accounting for more than half of all OFCs consumed.
“Many shoppers stock up early ahead of Christmas celebrations, so retailers ensuring that have the right range fully stocked throughout November and December will see the most incremental sales.”
