Earn rewards alongside your fellow retailers
LEADING cash rewards app *shopt has launched its new ‘Refer a Friend’ scheme, promising exclusive in-app rewards for its users and new recruits.
Aiming to introduce more convenience retailers to the app, the new initiative will allow retailers to earn rewards by referring fellow convenience store owners to the platform, driving growth for the service and building a community within the industry.
The new scheme will allow retailers who make use of the *shopt app currently to refer other members of the sector, with the opportunity to earn up to £1000 as a referral bonus, which store owners can redeem in the app.
Alexa Hester, head of marketing and engagement at *shopt, said: “We’re always looking for ways to support local retailers and the new Refer a Friend scheme offers users the chance to share the benefits of *shopt – and earn up to £1,000 referral bonus.
“Simply by referring another retailer to the app, users can unlock cash rewards.
“Once the referred retailer registers and begins claiming rewards, both parties receive a cash bonus, which is automatically added to their wallets.”
The scheme was unveiled at an exclusive event at Sky Garden in Birmingham’s Resort World, which was attended by a select group of retailers from across the UK to celebrate the launch, and to provide feedback to the *shopt team.
The collaborative session allowed retailers to offer insights into the challenges and opportunities they face through their jobs, allowing *shopt to better learn how to support its users going forward.
Speaking on the event, Avtar Sidhu, retailer at St John’s Budgens, said: “It gave us the opportunity to have real close dialogue and to hear the relevancy of their journey on *shopt itself and how we can engage on the app.”
It’s this spirit of teamwork between the app and its users that *shopt says is at the heart of its product development and continuous innovation within the field, and has previously talked about the importance of its relationship with convenience store owners.
She said: “The event was a fantastic opportunity to connect with retailers and hear their thoughts, as well as discuss how we can further enhance our offerings.”
