Building the snacking options this festive season
CRISPS brand Walkers has rolled out two new festive flavours in the Sensations range as the brand aims to drive up snacking sales this Christmas.
PepsiCo, the firm behind Walkers, reckons the Sensations brand will be able to tap into the demand for more indulgent crisps options over the Christmas period with its new Honey Glazed Roast Ham and the return of the King Prawn & Marie Rose Sauce variants.
Available for a limited time only, the new snacks will be able to offer an elevated option this Christmas says PepsiCo, and come in 150g sharing formats with an RRP of £2.50 each.
And the entire Walkers crisps range will be in the festive spirit this year with a limited Christmas pack design running across select flavour variants.
Festive packs will run across Walkers and Walkers Sensations brands to help drive up purchase for each of the three brands. Further to this, the activity will be supported by a multi-brand marketing investment covering the two brands as well as Doritos.
Going live on 18 November, PepsiCo’s multi-brand Christmas campaign will span across OOH, digital and social media to help drive up awareness for the limited pack designs and bring each brand to the forefront of consumers’ minds during the festive period.
Wayne Newton, senior marketing director at Walkers, said: “With new shoppers entering the category and existing customers buying more in preparation for the holiday season, Christmas is a crucial opportunity for retailers to be driving their savoury snacking sales.
“During this time, shoppers look for extra special snacking options that will elevate their celebrations, such as limited-edition flavours.
“Our festive reskins will support retailers in offering consumers’ familiar, much-loved snacking favourites with a festive look and feel, while also introducing premium seasonal flavours through our new Sensations Honey Glazed Roast Ham flavour and the return of the much-loved Sensations King Prawn & Marie Sauce flavour.
“These limited-edition options are set to meet the demand for bold and exciting festive treats, ensuring there’s something special for everyone this Christmas.”
