Italian coffee brand Lavazza has branched out into the canned coffee format with the launch of a new core range and limited edition protein variant.

ITALIAN coffee brand Lavazza has branched out into the canned coffee category with its new Iced Ready to Drink Coffee cans.

The four-strong range offers consumers a UK-exclusive addition to the chiller with the new Espresso and Milk, Caffè Latte, Cappuccino and limited-edition Protein can variant.

Available for purchase from the Lavazza website, the core range comes with a price of £1.88 each whereas the limited edition protein release comes at the slightly higher £2.06.

The core range offers consumers a blend of 100% Arabica coffee with semi-skimmed milk to help produce a balanced and sweeter offer in the canned coffee selection, according to Lavazza.

The Protein variant contains 25g of protein as well to help encourage more gym-goer consumers to seek try out the range as well, due to the rising popularity of the category in stores.
