We highlight new products that Scottish c-store retailers might want to stock

FRUIT bar brand Nakd has unveiled its new Fruit & Fibre range with two flavours.

Made up of Apple & Cinnamon and Strawberry & Raspberry, the new Nakd bars from parent company Natural Balance Foods (NBF) come in 44g single bar options for £1.25 MRSP as well as multipacks of three 44g bars for a price of £3.00 MRSP.

Jo Agnew, marketing director at NBF, said: “Delivering against the most important health drivers for consumers while being full of flavour and goodness, our new Fruit & Fibre bars present a strong opportunity for retailers to grow snack bar sales and attract health-conscious shoppers.”

2. Tyrells Lentil Crisps 24g packs

KP Snacks is embracing the impulse occasion with the launch of its Tyrells Lentil Crisps in single packs.

Previously available in the sharing format, the new 24g packs will include two flavours: Sour Cream & Onion and Sweet Chilli & Red Pepper. The new packs are available now for £1.

The launch will also be supported with a raft of marketing activity across OOH and social media.

Sammy Harmer, Tyrells brand manager, said: “It’s the perfect permissible snack for the lunchtime occasion or an afternoon nibble, which we know is what shoppers are on the look-out for.”

3. Weetabix Marvel Oaty Bars

WEETABIX has teamed up with Disney Marvel once again to launch its new range of children’s cereal bars.

Featuring Marvel superhero characters on packs, the new Marvel Oaty Bars come in the three variants of Milk Chocolate Oaty Bars, White Chocolate Oaty Bars and Caramel Oaty Bars.

Lou Vickers, head of challenger brands at Weetabix, said: “Weetabix has always been a leading brand for HFSS-compliant family products.

“And this new collaboration with Marvel means we can now fuel the power of play, while assuring parents that they are making not only healthier but also delicious choices for their children.”

4. Trek Power Biscoff bar

SNACK brand Trek says it is shaking up the protein category by rolling out its Power Biscoff bar into convenience and wholesale.

Each 55g bar – with an RRP of £1.95 – is packed with 15g of plant-based protein, coated in a rich vegan chocolate alternative and filled with a layer of Biscoff spread.

The launch is backed by the brand’s biggest ever marketing campaign, spanning digital media, influencer activity, sampling, trade and consumer PR.
