But it’s not just meat and dairy alternatives shoppers are seeking now, as many with a sweet tooth will be looking to the more permissible options across sugar confectionery.

Swizzels reckons it has just the range these customers are looking for as the firm gears up for the fourth year of its campaign in support of Veganuary, with its ‘All These, All Year, All Vegan’ messaging.

“In 2023, more than 700,000 people signed up to the challenge to try a vegan diet for the month of January, and Veganuary 2024 is set to be the biggest yet, so it’s essential for retailers to stock up on a range of best-selling and well-known brands to entice customers.

“Social media movements have helped fuel the interest in vegan lifestyles with the growth of food-related accounts and influencers.

“Our vegan range continues to be popular year after year, and has grown to meet the increased demands of demographics who choose to opt for vegan & flexitarian diets; with 54% of Gen Z avoiding meat or other animal-based products versus 34% of baby boomers.
