Conference to bring industry insights
LEADING lights of the Scottish food and drink industry are set to come together in Edinburgh this month for the Scotland Food & Drink industry conference.
Set to be held on 29 March, the conference will hear from speakers and giants across the industry, including Marks & Spencer as well as Alibaba, who will outline their views of the market and provide insights across consumer trends as well as what they are personally looking for from Scottish suppliers.
Scottish artisan gin and rum distiller Gin Bothy is set to be in attendance and will look to discuss the growth journey the firm has been on.
Kim Cameron, founder of Gin Bothy, said: “It is such an exciting time to be part of Scotland’s food and drink industry.
“Scotland Food & Drink has been an integral part of my growth journey over the last couple of years and I am really looking forward to this year’s conference. Events like this are really important for us to come together, share ideas and be inspired.”
The full day conference will also outline Scotland Food & Drink Partnership’s updated industry strategy and how the organisation will continue to support and champion Scotland’s food and drink sectors across the world.
Iain Baxter, chief executive at Scotland Food & Drink, said: “Our industry conference is an excellent opportunity for businesses to hear from inspirational speakers and to make new connections.
“As well as hearing from major buyers and companies who are growing both locally and globally, we’ll be setting out our revitalised industry strategy, outlining what we will all need to focus on over the next 10 years to achieve stability and growth.
“It’s guaranteed to be a rewarding day.”
