THE tobacco accessories category in Scotland is worth £31.4 million and continues to show year-on-year growth of 4.7%, according to IRI data.
Republic Technologies UK said these figures showed the importance for retailers to tap into these sales.
Sales & marketing boss Gavin Anderson said: “Our iconic brands – including Swan, Zig-Zag and OCB – have considerable history in the market and are synonymous with quality and value for money.
“This, combined with our team’s valuable expertise in the category, means that we are well placed to add real value to convenience retailers.”
He recommended that c-store bosses should stock the firm’s Swan Crushball filters range, as it has built up a strong and loyal consumer following.
Available in cool menthol and strong peppermint flavours, the two-part sliding packs contain 54 filters and have an RRP of £1.29 each.
Meanwhile, eco-friendly considerations have seen a surge in demand for products such as OCB Virgin Slim (RRP £1.04) and Virgin Slim & Tips (RRP £1.63), said Anderson.
