HOLYROOD Distillery has brought together three non-traditional rum producing countries in the launch of its new blended rum.
Rum Union brings together flavours from Vietnam, the Phillipines and Ghana into a blended 45.3% ABV rum. Currently available from the Holyrood Distillery website, Union Rum comes at a price point of £39.99 in a 70cl bottle.
Blending sugar cane juice from Vietnam with a molasses-based rum from the Phillipines in a pot still from Ghana, Holyrood Distillery said Union Rum marries the three flavours from the non-traditional rum producing countries to produce the rum.
Nick Ravenhall, managing director at Holyrood Distillery, said: “We are greatly inspired by the rum makers and that is why Holyrood is on this journey, to learn more and push ourselves further.”
