Prizes to be won on pack this autumn
FANTA is ready to scare up some soft drinks sales this Halloween with the launch of a new on-pack promotion and seasonal packaging.
From 12 September, consumers will have the chance to win from a prize pool worth over £50,000.
CCEP’s latest Fanta promotion offers shoppers the chance to win five ‘cauldrons of cash’ worth £1,000. There are also a number of tech goodies to be won, including home entertainment systems, wireless headphones and tablets.
To be in with the chance of winning, consumers need only scan the QR code found on participating packs, to be taken to an online game which will give them a chance of winning one of the prizes – or a scary surprise.
On-pack Halloween graphics also return to Fanta packs this autumn, running across 330ml cans, 500ml and 2L PET and a variety of multi-pack can formats. The graphics feature across both plain and price-marked stock.
More flavours are included in this year’s seasonal activity, which has extended to cover Fanta Fruit Twist Zero, Fanta Grape Zero, Fanta Raspberry Zero and Fanta Lemon.
This year’s seasonal Fanta activity will also see the brand benefit from a multi-million pound marketing campaign across TV, social and digital media, and outdoor advertising.
Amy Burgess, senior trade communications manager at CCEP, said: “Last year, Fanta’s ghoulish on-pack graphics and on-pack promotion helped retailers create a sense of theatre in-store and, supported by a multi-million pound marketing campaign, kept the brand front of mind for consumers throughout Halloween.
“Fanta contributed more than a third (35%) of flavoured carbonates growth during Halloween last year. In fact, one in four of all flavoured carbonates purchased was from the Fanta portfolio.”
