THE Federation of Independent Retailers (NFRN) has welcomed the announcement of a company restructure at Menzies Distribution.
The NFRN has said the change “reaffirms the news wholesaler’s commitment to the news supply chain.”
Menzies’ restructure includes the creation of a newstrade business unit. Newstrade general manager Grant Jordan has also been promoted to managing director.
Narinder Randhawa, national president of the NFRN, said: “We are pleased to hear about this business restructure at Menzies and congratulate Grant Jordan on his promotion.
“Such a move demonstrates that Menzies remains committed to the news industry.”
Greg Michael, chief executive of Menzies Distribution, said the restructure would enable the firm to, “build on our dedicated focus on best in class service and customer satisfaction for all our customers, across all our markets.”
