Bells ring out for chocolate

Ritter Sport unveils festive lineup

Ritter Sport’s Winter Edition bars return to shelves this year with a new look.

CHOCOLATE and Christmas go hand-in-hand and Ritter Sport reckons it has just the range for stockings this year.

Ritter’s 2021 festive range will see the return of its Winter Edition 100g bars, available in Caramelized Almonds, Spiced Biscuit and Coconut Macaroon variants.

The Winter Edition bars are available to convenience via Bestway, Rayburn and Dhamecha with an RRP of £1. Other stockists include Sainsbury’s, Ocado, Wilko and Ritter Sport’s own online store.

Katy Clark, head of marketing at Ritter Sport UK & IRE said: “Despite footfall down 30% over last year’s Christmas period due to Covid-19, the Winter Edition bars still saw a 95% total sell through within a major high street retailer.”

The German chocolate brand has also expanded its Mini Towers format for Christmas 2021. The brand’s Chocolate Mix tower is joined by a new Mini Tower Nut Selection variant.

Available in Waitrose, Morrisons and Spar with an RRP of £3, Mini Towers feature some of Ritter’s most popular flavours in a smaller format with fully recyclable packaging.

Clark said: “The format is ideal for the Christmas gifting period as either a stocking filler or token gift for family and friends, or even as a thank you for teachers at the end of a busy year.

“The mini tower format had a great first year in market last Christmas with a ‘top 6’ retailer selling the Mini Tower Chocolate Mix, selling through the entire original predicted volumes by the first week in November.”
