ALLAN Leighton has been appointed the new president of GroceryAid by its board of trustees.
Leighton (pictured) takes up his new position from 1 January 2022 after serving. The new president has previous experience with the Co-operative Group, BrewDog and Pizza Express.
He said: “As we emerge from Covid, I plan to work with the GroceryAid team to ensure that charity is there for all colleagues in those times when they need our support.”
Ruston Smith, GroceryAid chairman, said: “This is excellent news for GroceryAid. The trustee board is delighted that we will benefit from the considerable energy, insight and expertise of Allan.”
