THE lifting of social distancing requirements this summer should see the return of on-the-go snack sales opportunities, according to Nutella owner Ferrero.
In time for that increased demand, it has launched a wholegrain variety of its Nutella & Go range.
The first extension of the snack brand in five years, Nutella & Go Wholegrain contains 80% wheat and oat cereal sticks and a classic Nutella dip.
Customer development director, Levi Boorer, said: “Shoppers will be looking for treats they can enjoy on-the-go as footfall and impulse purchases return with the countlines category seeing 10% growth in the last four weeks.
“Building on the popularity of the existing line in the UK, we are offering convenience retailers the opportunity to stock our latest launch this summer, Nutella & Go Wholegrain.
“We are confident that the newest addition to our range will entice loyal shoppers to the brand, with many shoppers looking for a pick me up treat.”
Nutella & Go Wholegrain is now available to UK retailers for a limited time only.
It has an RRP of £1.02 for a 55g pack and Ferrero is offering retailers new point of sale material and displays to help launch the new product.
