THE UK’s largest independent forecourt operator has appointed a new commercial director.
David Pitron joins MFG from BP where he has worked for the past 16 years in various positions. Pitron’s last role was as BP’s UK-based global retail commercial development director, where he was responsible for establishing new retail offers and partnerships and the development of a global convenience strategy.
Before joining BP, Pitron served as a senior buyer with Compass Group. He previously worked for Marks & Spencers having joined the retailer’s graduate training programme, resulting in a five year stint in store management and buying roles.
MFG managing director for retail Steve Fox said: “David joins us as we are rapidly developing our ambitious retail plans for our network.
“I am confident that his experience will prove invaluable in maximizing shop income and establishing strong relationships with our key suppliers and service providers.”
