SHORTBREAD brand Paterson’s will celebrate a major milestone this year – its 125th anniversary.
Paterson’s was launched in the 19th century by a husband and wife team selling home-baked cakes in Rutherglen. The brand is now worth over £12.7m according to Kantar.
Kate Needham, marketing director of brand owner Burton’s Biscuit Company said: “Paterson’s is Britain’s number one shortbread brand, treating over four million consumers each year to its delicious range of shortbread, biscuits and cookies. One in seven households in the UK currently purchase Paterson’s , making it the ideal brand to boost biscuits sales.”
