GLACEAU Smartwater’s move into 100% recycled plastic bottles is the subject of a new campaign.
Using the strapline ‘100% recycled plastic now that’s 100% smart’ the new out-of-home advertising campaign has been created to show consumers that Glaceau Smartwater bottles are now made from 100% recycled plastic (rPET), while remaining 100% recyclable.
A spokesperson for Coca-Cola European Partners (CCEP), the firm behind Glaceau Smartwater said: “This means Glaceau Smartwater uses more recycled plastic in its packaging than any other major bottled water brand in Great Britain.”
The move to 100% rPET includes the entire range of 600ml and 850ml plastic bottles which CCEP said will remove 3,100 tonnes of virgin plastic from circulation each year.
CCEP added that while Glaceau Smartwater bottles are made from recycled plastic, labels and caps are not, but stressed that they are recyclable.
