COSTCUTTER Supermarkets Group (CSG) has brought a top-selling Japanese sweet to the UK in time for Christmas.
As part of a collaboration with Bobby’s Foods, CSG has introduced Asian brand Hi-Chew to its stores following a successful trial.
The sweets – which are available to CSG retailers in three flavours – have a texture described as somewhere between a soft sweet and chewing gum.
CSG category director Mike Owen said Hi-Chew has already helped to drive footfall into stores.
