ALMOST half (48%) of online grocery shoppers claim they are willing to pay for faster delivery in order to receive groceries within an hour of purchasing.
IGD research found the concept was most popular among younger shoppers, with 71% of 18-24s interested in the idea compared with 18% of those over 65.
Vanessa Henry, shopper insight manager at IGD said: “As we see more competition between retailers, the next generation of convenient shopper is starting to emerge.”
