Keeping consumers sweet

NEWLY launched in the UK after success across Europe, new snack brand Knoppers is hoping to make an impact in the confectionary market.

Storck, the firm behind the brand, have some advice for retailers to make the most of this category –  and to help Knoppers fly off the shelves.

Andy Mutton, managing director, Storck UK said that it was important to stock a variety of formats for single and group consumption.

“Knoppers are available in single or four packs making them suitable for either instance,” he said.

He also stressed that retailers should include confectionery in any meal deal offering, as  consumers will often want a sweat treat with their sandwich or pasta.

“Knoppers is a great afternoon pick me up,” he said, “that keeps you going until the end of the day without feeling too guilty or full, so would work brilliantly as part of your meal deal offering.”

He also advised displaying Knoppers close to the exit, or hot drinks machines, to drive impulse purchases.
