CHOCOLATE spread Nutella has created a recipe hub on its website to offer consumers a selection of breakfast recipes using the spread.
Nielsen sales figures show Nutella to be the number-one sweet spread brand in the UK, with a value of £50.3m and brand owner Ferrero says that nearly half of its target market say they love it.
And with Pancake Day coming up at the end of this month, Ferrero is running a £1.3m campaign called ‘Pancakes love Nutella’.
Customer development director Levi Boorer said: “Shoppers turning their hand to homemade products is more prevalent than ever and cross-category displays can help drive basket spend by providing all the ingredients for a perfect pancake.
“Retailers should display pancake ingredients together, such as flour, eggs and milk, alongside a range of toppings such as Nutella.
“Pancake Day is one of the most fun events of the year to engage with shoppers.”
