THE convenience channel accounts for the largest single share of the UK’s £150m micro-snacking market, according to Rustlers brand owner Kepak Convenience Foods.
And channel director Angela Daulby says Rustlers Super 6 range has accelerated demand for its price-marked products, by offering top-selling SKUs price-marked at £1.99.
She said: “Today’s price-sensitive shoppers are looking for value for money and are reassured when they see market-leading brands in PMPs.”
She continued: “Fifty per cent of retailers say they intend to stock more price-marked packs in the next 12 months and three quarters of them are more likely to stock a new product if it’s price-marked against 63% who said this in 2013.”
The Rustlers Super 6 PMP range includes the Flame Grilled Quarter Pounder, which Kepak says sells at a rate of 28 packs every minute and is bought by over two million households.
