GRAHAM’S the Family Dairy has called on Scottish retailers to make more space available in stores for Scottish produce.
Ahead of speaking at the Scotland Food & Drink AGM, Graham’s managing director Robert Graham said: “ Some stores still give more weight and space to foreign brands.
“Instead, we need to make sure that Scottish produce is prioritised to give it at least the same standing if not better. When people eat local, they are almost always eating of a better quality, plus they’re directly supporting local jobs and local farmers.”
Marketing director Carol Graham said the firm was keen to play its part.
“Our packaging and advertising always features the Graham’s family, which reminds people that we are a farming family with a personal connection to the food we produce,” she said.
“As a brand, we are dedicated to growing Scotland’s food and drink industry. We are 100% supportive of the ‘Scottish Dairy Brand’ launched by cabinet secretary Richard Lochhead last year.”
