CLAIMING great success for its Sandwich Thins, a line aimed at calorie-conscious consumers, Warburtons has gone on to launch Thins Bagels.
Innovation director Darren Little said: “We invested nearly £7m in a new manufacturing line to capture the great bagel taste and texture that consumers love and paired this with the trend for lighter sandwich alternatives to offer a bagel range from 120 calories.”
The pre-sliced Thin Bagels are available in packs of six that have a recommended price of £1.40. The new bagels come in three varieties, Cinnamon and Raisin, Plain, and Sesame.
Little added: “There is a strong appetite for sandwich alternatives. Thin Bagels offer variety and we are excited to attract new consumers to the bagel sector.”
