Tobacco giant teams up to make the call

TOBACCO supplier JTI UK has teamed up with Crimestoppers to combat the illegal tobacco trade.
The move comes  after JTI launched its Don’t Be Tempted campaign in 2014 in print, online and broadcast media.
Through its partnership with Crimestoppers, the company aims to continue to inform retailers and consumers about the dangers of illegal tobacco throughout 2015.
Mark Yexley, media relations manager at JTI, said: “The partnership with Crimestoppers is designed to encourage local consumers and retailers to take a stand and report, in confidence, anyone involved in illegal tobacco crime.”
The Crimestoppers anonymous helpline number has become the primary point of contact for all of JTI’s anti-illegal tobacco campaigns through the UK and will feature in all publicity and activity on the programme.
