SOY sauce producer Kikkoman is stirring up its stir-fry line with a new name and a new look.
Its Sukiyaki Sauce is now Kikkoman Stir-fry Sauce.
The firm says the re-launch will make the product’s purpose clearer, stress that it offers convenience because it means cooks won’t need any other seasonings or condiments to rustle up a stir fry and, as a result, bring more consumers to the Kikkoman brand.
The sauce is available now in 250ml bottles at an RRP of £2.79.
Bing-yu Lee, manager of Kikkoman UK, said: “In line with the UK’s love of Oriental cuisine we are confident that our newly re-launched Stir-fry Sauce will be a success. Consumers don’t have much time to read the labels, so we’re making things easier by clearly communicating the specific role of the product and the colourful label gives good shelf standout.
“Stir-frying is a cooking method that most consumers are willing to attempt because it’s simple and versatile. We’re tapping into consumers’ desire for convenience and great tasting food.”
