Nicotine products manufacturer Imperial Brands has introduced its new Players Classic cigarettes to offer a well-valued full-strength option to smokers.

NICOTINE products firm Imperial Brands has expanded on its Players cigarettes range with its new full-strength value cigarette Players Classic.

Available in both Superking and Kingsize formats, the new Players Classic comes with an RRP of £14.60 per pack and aims to help retailers to retain customers through the full-strength and good-for-value proposition.

The new cigarette blends together a high-quality mixed leaf blend with Virginia, Burley and Oriental tobaccos to help deliver a smoother and stronger taste.

Furthermore, the Players Classic offers a high-moisture cigarette that contributes to a slower burn, delivering a longer-lasting experience overall.

In recent customer testing carried out by Imperial Brands, the new Players Classic was one of the highest-rated products in taste profile, demonstrating that shoppers don’t need to trade up to a more expensive tobacco option when looking for quality in the gantry.

Shirley Soccio, head of consumer marketing UK & Ireland, said: “Backed by more than 140 years of trusted brand heritage, Players remains a top seller in the UK, and there are no signs of that changing.

“Players Classic is aimed at smokers aged 35 to 55 who are value-conscious yet not willing to compromise on quality. This group values trusted brands, dependable taste and strong value delivery, all of which Players Classic offers.

“This means Players Classic is uniquely positioned to succeed in the retail market, especially in independent stores where value brands are already performing exceptionally well.”
