Simon Howie matches demand for high protein food

PERTHSHIRE butchery brand Simon Howie has unveiled a new High Protein Steak Lorne pack in a bid to match modern day protein demands.
Offering a modern take on the classic Scottish square sausage, the new Steak Lorne combines a rich, meaty flavour with a performance driven protein boost.
The new product is set to hit Tesco shelves across Scotland from 23 March.
Simon Howie has said the new High Protein Steak Lorne is set to target those consumers who are seeking real foods to fuel their day, with a high protein option that has been made naturally.
The new Steak Lorne is made with 70% beef and delivers 24g of protein per serving (two slices) to cover a post-workout recovery meal or as a hearty breakfast.
Additionally, the launch is also gluten-free and versatile making it ideal for everything from a classic morning roll to meal prep solutions.
Each 270g pack contains four slices of Steak Lorne, covering two meals, with an RRP of £3.25.
Steven Lynn, commercial director at Simon Howie, said: “We wanted to create something that celebrates the heritage of Scotland’s square sausage while giving it a modern, high-protein twist. With demand for protein-rich products at an all-time high, this felt like the perfect addition to our range.”
