Glasgow bakery firm Pie Sports has expanded its listings for its Kebab Pies packs across Scotmid, Aldi and Lidl stores in Scotland.

GLASGOW-BASED Pie Sports has secured permanent listings across Scotmid, Aldi and Lidl stores in Scotland for its Kebab Pies packs.

Now available in more than 400 Scottish stores, the latest move for Pie Sports marks the latest chapter for the firm after it has successfully grown since 2020 to serve four distinct markets across Scotland.

The brand has increased its presence across Scottish football stadiums, in-store retail destinations, e-commerce from its own website and the food service sector. Earlier in 2025, the brand also secured the matchday kiosk at St Johnstone FC, adding to its list of partner clubs including St Mirren, Partick Thistle and Falkirk.

Brian Sarafilovic, director at Pie Sports, said: “This is another big, big moment for Pie Sports, and a fitting way to celebrate turning five years young. A whole host of great things have happened in those five years including many of our award-winning pies enjoying listings as specials in Aldi, Lidl and Scotmid the length and breadth of the country.”

Pie Sports has seen a meteoric rise for its presence across Scotland since the brand’s inception in 2020 when it was initially established as a way to offer Scottish football fans a traditional matchday pie from the comfort of their homes during lockdown.

And earlier this year, Pie Sports secured the Scottish Football Pie of the Year for its Kebab Pie at the 2025 Scotch Pie World Championships, highlighting how much the brand has progressed across its five years.

Joe Aitken, director at Pie Sports, said: “When we take a step back to reflect on what has been achieved in those five years it really is something we are all very proud of, none of it possible without the support of our customers, partners and, of course, our brilliant staff.”

And Ross Hamilton, the last of the brand’s three directors, said: “If you’d told us where we’d be today when Pie Sports started out five years ago we’d probably have laughed at you but then that’s what gives us excitement looking ahead, who knows what pies will be being enjoyed – and where – come the summer of 2030.

“For now we are very much enjoying the journey and very proud of this latest achievement of the ever-popular Pie Sports kebab pie.”
