Capture sales with maritime malts from Old Pulteney
WICK-BASED whisky brand Old Pulteney has encouraged consumers to discover the spirit of its core collection, whether it be for gifting opportunities or a self-treat.
Known as The Maritime Malt, Old Pulteney is distilled in Wick on the northerly shores of Scotland which brings the dram is distinctive coastal tastes, capturing a maritime character with every drop.
Each whisky within the Old Pulteney single malts collection offers a “journey of flavour”, says parent firm Inver House Distillers, with a signature warmth and coastal character that can be the ideal dram for any occasions, whether it be a quiet evening or more celebratory events.
The firm reckons Old Pulteney’s core 12 Years Old and Harbour expressions will be in high demand to match these demands, in particular, offering two bold flavours inspired by the sea and bringing a distinctive twist to an evening.
Old Pulteney 12 Years Old
Available with an RRP of £40, this 40% ABV whisky is aged in American oak ex-bourbon casks for 12 years to deliver a golden single malt that marries coastal flavours with a honey and vanilla sweetness to create the hallmark expression from the Old Pulteney collection.
A spokesperson for Inver House Distillers said: “A firm-bodied and smooth single malt, Old Pulteney 12 Years Old showcases sweet notes of vanilla, honey, dark caramel and cream, before developing into fruity overtones and fresh spice. A distinctive salty note, the result of a lifetime in partnership with the sea, is followed by a long and sweet finish.

Old Pulteney Harbour
Described as a dram where “tradition meets modernity”, Old Pulteney Harbour takes its name from the point which joins Old Pulteney’s hometown of Wick to the North Sea, once again marking the brand’s maritime roots.
This smooth expression delivers on sweeter flavours of raisins and tropical fruits that is balanced with darker tones of toffee and tobacco leaf. Available with an RRP of £35, the 40% ABV whisky can be purchased via Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Amazon or the Old Pulteney website.
