Set to make waves with new Reef packaging format

ALCOHOLIC ready-to-drink (RTD) brand Reef is set to make waves across the UK’s off-trade with the launch of its new Tetra packaging format.
Rolling out from July, the new 330ml, 100% recyclable and fully resealable carton aims to provide shoppers with a more sustainable pack format for the brand that stays cooler for longer during the summer months.
The brand said the new Tetra packaging offers a distinct advantage when compared to previous packaging solutions, with the new packs warming approximately two times more slowly than traditional cans under typical indoor conditions.
In addition to this, packs also take up less space on the shelf with the carton occupying approximately 40% less space than Reef’s traditional rounded packaging.
And this lightweight alternative will also provide consumers with some added convenience for transportation and portability whilst reducing weight and shipping for retailers.
Despite this, fans can still expect to find the same tasting 3.4% ABV fruity drink inside and, for those planning on larger gatherings for this summer, the new pack format also comes in multi-packs of 15 330ml cartons.
Matthew Bulcroft, marketing director for parent firm Global Brands, said: “Since we relaunched Reef back into the UK market last year, the brand has delivered exceptional sales performance, and with customer demand at an all-time high, this new format range is set to reinforce Reef’s position as a dynamic force in the RTD category.
“Launching the UK’s first alcoholic RTD in a Tetra Pack is a major milestone and a testament to our commitment to innovation. We’re incredibly proud to lead the way with this format and we can’t wait to see how consumers respond.”
