Confectionery firm Mars Wrigley has brought back its Maltesers White Chocolate variant after what it called a “significant consumer demand”.

CONFECTIONERY giant Mars Wrigley is set to drive excitement in the sweets aisle with the return of Maltesers White Chocolate.

After more than a decade off the shelves, the relaunch comes as a direct response to what Mars has called a “significant consumer demand” and also caters to the rising popularity of white chocolate variants.

Maltesers White Chocolate will be available on shelves from 16 June in a variety of formats including 30g single packs, 74g core pouches and More to Share pouch 126g.

Mars Wrigley has been set on returning some nostalgic favourites such as Maltesers White Chocolate as this comeback also follows swiftly on from the limited return of Opal Fruits from the firm.

Clare Moulder, Maltesers senior brand manager at Mars Wrigley, said: “Consumers absolutely love Maltesers White Chocolate and have been clamouring for us to bring it back.

“I’m happy to confirm that we are now finally going to do just that.

“White Chocolate is a growing trend and as the number two favourite chocolate brand in the UK, we are perfectly placed to answer this demand.

“We also know that white chocolate versions of favourite brands appeal to the under 35 demographic, so this launch is set to bring existing as well as new consumers to confectionery aisles.”
