Villa Cardea Limoncello rolls out across Morrisons stores

Second supermarket listing for limoncello brand

ITALIAN liqueur brand Villa Cardea has announced a new major supermarket listing with Morrisons for its award-winning Limoncello.

This marks the second big supermarket partnership for the brand as Villa Cardea aims to drive up its presence across the off-trade in time for summer.

Part of the LMB UK portfolio of drinks, the lemon liqueur will hit the shelves in over 480 Morrisons locations nationwide and comes with an RRP of £12.50 per 700ml bottle and is bottled at 22% ABV.

The new UK listing follows on from its current performance across Asda stores, where it is the only limoncello liqueur available in the grocer’s spirits aisle.

Produced in Bergamo in Northern Italy, Villa Cardea’s traditional limoncello is created using a unique and natural recipe which infuses lemon peel from Sicily and delivers an intense yet balanced taste that looks to transport drinkers to Italy’s sun-soaked lemon groves.

It is best enjoyed chilled, or as part of a Limoncello Spritz cocktail serve – the recipe for which can be found at the end of the story – offering a key link-up sale for retailers in the process.

Villa Cardea Limoncello Spritz

Ingredients:
3 parts Prosecco
2 parts Villa Cardea Limoncello
1 part soda water
Lemon slices for garnish

Method:
Fill a large wine glass with ice. Add the prosecco, then the soda water and finally the Villa Cardea Limoncello. Stir gently and garnish with the lemon.
