INDEPENDENT Scottish distiller Eden Mill has announced its first UK-wide listing for its Golf Gin product across Waitrose stores.

Golf Gin has rolled out across the shelves of 202 Waitrose stores across the UK with the supermarket chain having grocer exclusivity for three months.

Rennie Donaldson, chief executive officer at Eden Mill, said: “A UK-wide listing at Waitrose is the perfect launch pad for the gin. Golf participation has been increasing consistently since 2020 and is showing no signs of letting off, so we’re delighted to have developed the perfect pour to toast this growing segment.”

The London Dry gin has recently relaunched from the St Andrews distiller with a new bottle design as well as a new recipe as the botanicals foraged for the gin have been sourced from the Old Course in St Andrews, marking the world’s first spirit to do so.

Eden Mill has already begun production of whisky and gin at its new distillery and is set to open a new visitor centre in August 2025.

Rennie said: “St Andrews is the beating heart of our brand and it’s the historical home of golf, so we’ve always wanted to authentically tie our Golf Gin product to the town. Foraging botanicals from the world famous Old Course has allowed us to do just that.”

Adding to Rennie’s comments, John Vine, spirits buyer at Waitrose, said: “We have an avid audience of gin enthusiasts who shop with us and take the time to discover new brands with interesting stories.

“Eden Mill’s Golf Gin fits this bill to a tee – crafted with botanicals foraged from the Old Course St Andrews and distilled in their brand-new, sustainable distillery, we are sure this will pique the curiosity of our shoppers.”
