Encourage adult shoppers to reach for the Skyr

GLOBAL dairy products firm Yoplait has expanded into the adult yoghurt category with the launch of its new Yoplait Skyr Natural yoghurt.
Based on an Icelandic recipe, Yoplait Skyr yoghurt offers adult shoppers a thick, creamy and rich in protein option that is also naturally fat free.
The product has also proven a hit in mainland Europe so far as well, as Yoplait Skyr Natural is currently the number one selling product in France out of the total chilled yoghurt and dairy category – according to Nielsen France sales data for the year to February.
Yoplait is now keen to recreate this success across the UK as the Skyr yoghurt has made its way across the channel and into, initially, Iceland stores across the country in 450g pots with an RRP of £2.25.
The dairy firm will also support the launch of the new Skyr yoghurt with a targeted in-store and online media campaign to help drive up awareness for the launch.

This new launch for the adult market follows on from a recent makeover for Yoplait’s Frubes brand, which saw the firm aim to bring a focus on the natural benefits of the kids’ yoghurt brand.
