British chocolate bar expands on range

SWEET treats firm Nestlé has unveiled a new limited-edition flavour for its Yorkie chocolate brand with the new Biscuit & Brownie variant.
Rolling out across supermarket and store shelves, the Yorkie Biscuit & Brownie comes in a light blue wrapper to help improve stand-out on shelf and features chunks of a smooth brownie flavoured milk chocolate with crunchy pieces of biscuit.
Similar to the rest of the range, the new variant contains no artificial flavours or preservatives and has been made in York using cocoa mass sourced from families enrolled in Nestlé’s Income Accelerator programme.
The Income Accelerator programme was introduced by Nestlé to help close the living income gap of cocoa-farming families and reduce child labour risk. Following a successful trial with 10,000 cocoa families, 2024 marked the first year of a ‘scale of phase’ for the initiative and now benefits some 30,000 families across Côte d’lvoire and Ghana.
Talking about the launch of the new Yorkie bar, Michael Kehoe, brand manager for Yorkie, said: “The new bar brings together brownie-flavoured chocolate and crunchy biscuit pieces to make a delicious treat that we’re excited to share with Yorkie fans everywhere. We’re looking forward to hearing what people make of it.”
