Monster is set to pack a Punch with innovative flavour
ENERGY drinks brand Monster Energy is set to bring more tropical flavour to the category with the new Monster Juiced Rio Punch variant.
Available for purchase now, Monster Juiced Rio Punch comes in plain and price-marked single 500ml cans as well as four-can multipacks. The new flavour combines the powerful Monster Energy blend with a unique combo of exotic fruit flavours.
This includes papaya, vanilla ice cream and blackcurrant, all of which has been inspired by the popular Rio de Janeiro dessert Creme de Papaya, says parent firm Coca-Cola Europacific Partners (CCEP).
The can also features a striking green and yellow design, inspired by the Brazilian flag, with references to the city of Rio de Janeiro including carnival motifs and a visual of the iconic Christ the Redeemer statue.
With this, CCEP has said the new cans will be able to deliver maximum stand-out on shelf across stores. And convenience retailers will be able to draw some added attention to the launch with new Monster Juiced Rio Punch POS materials available for order now – with digital assets ready for download via My.CCEP.com.
Rio Punch now joins the nine strong Monster Juiced range, which includes popular variants such as Mango Loco, Aussie Lemonade and the 2024 launch Bad Apple.
Helen Kerr, associate director of commercial development at CCEP, said: “Over the past year, Monster has driven more than half of innovation sales in energy drinks – adding an impressive £84.7m in value to the category.
“Shoppers love the bold, flavour-packed Monster Juiced range, which is up 18.1% in value and growing faster than both the flavoured energy segment and the total energy category.
“Every year, our Juiced launches are among the top-performing launches in energy drinks. We’re confident Rio Punch, which is already one of our top sellers in the US, will continue that trend, and we’re excited to see how retailers bring the launch to life in-store.”
