Appointment to grow support from industry charity

Morrisons boss Rami Baitiéh has been appointed as the new president of GroceryAid as the industry charity looks to expand its support across retail.

INDUSTRY charity GroceryAid is set to expand its support channels with the appointment of Rami Baitiéh, chief executive officer at Morrisons, as its new president.

Baitiéh took on his new role in early January and brings with him a wide experience in both the retail field and operational that will see him support the charity as it continues to extend its reach and help more grocery workers.

Prior to joining Morrisons in 2023, Baitiéh had a 28-year long career at the Carrefour Group where he served in various roles across stores, merchandising, supply chain and IT. Not only did Baitiéh take on the role of chief executive of Carrefour France and Carrefour Spain, but he was also executive director for Carrefour Argentina and Carrefour Taiwan.
