The Glasgow Distillery is set to help whisky fans to celebrate even more this Christmas, with new limited edition launches and a city centre showcase.

THE Glasgow Distillery has kicked off plenty for consumers to be excited about this Christmas season, complete with an activation in Glasgow City Centre.

The independent distiller has rolled out a second batch of its Cask Strength editions of its two most celebrated single malts with the Glasgow 1770 The Original Cask Strength Batch 02 and Glasgow 1770 Peated Cask Strength Bacth 02.

This follows from last year’s launch of the first Cask Strength Batch for the brand, which saw a sell-out success, as the firm aims to deliver another unique bottling for whisky fans this Christmas season.

Mike Hayward, co-founder at The Glasgow Distillery, said: “Following the sell-out success of Glasgow 1770 Cask Strength Batch 01, we wanted to offer our community another opportunity to experience our whisky as it comes, straight from the cask – bold, pure and full of character.

“At The Glasgow Distillery, we’re passionate about every stage of the production process, from our hands-on distilling process to selecting the best possible casks to use for maturation.

“By sharing these whiskies in their purest form, we’re able to offer our community a more direct connection to our craft and to the unique, evolving character of Glasgow 1770 Single Malt.”

The Glasgow 1770 The Original Cask Strength Batch 02 has been bottled at 59.5% ABV with a limited run of 750 bottles at an RRP of £64, with the Peated variant coming in at the slightly higher 60.7% ABV with 1000 bottles only at £66 RRP.

And to help more shoppers get into the Christmas spirit this year, The Glasgow Distillery has also kicked off a new collaboration with Glasgow city centre bar Rascal, helping to showcase the firm’s array of brands including Glasgow 1770, Banditti Club Rum and G52 Botanical Vodka.

The public drop-in event is set to run on 1 December and invites consumers to become more familiar with the brand with an array of unique cocktail options.

Sebastian Bunford Jones, global marketing manager at The Glasgow Distillery, said;”This collaboration is a celebration of craft and creativity, and we’re thrilled to partner with Rascal for this special event.

“At The Glasgow Distillery, we’re passionate about creating spirits that inspire, and Rascal shares our commitment to quality and innovation.

“Together, we’re excited to showcase the versatility of our spirits in an intimate setting that brings them to life in fresh and exciting ways.”
