Nisa retailers can now save on their energy costs thanks to a partnership with tech firm Simble.

NISA has announced a partnership with tech firm Simble to support its retailers to reduce energy costs.

By integrating the SimbleSense platform into their operations, Nisa said its retailers can access real-time insights on their energy usage and make informed decisions to improve efficiency and sustainability in stores to reduce unnecessary usage.

Tim Norton, trials manager at Nisa, said: “SimbleSense has exceeded our expectations in reducing energy consumption and costs while offering easy-to-understand real-time tracking.”

Spar’s £100k charity aid

SPAR UK has awarded more than 50 charities across the UK with grants up to £10,000 in its Community Cashback scheme.

The initiative has helped a total of 54 organisations across the UK this year, with a total amount of £100,000 shared out.

This saw a grant provided to Oliver’s Army in Scotland, a charity that provides assistance and therapy dogs to support children and adults with a range of conditions.

Ian Taylor, retail and brand development director at Spar UK, said: “Our grant scheme is aimed at supporting and giving back to the communities where our stores are located.”

THE Scottish Wholesale Association’s (SWA) Achievers Awards are back for 20 February 2025.

The prestigious event marks the success of Scotland’s wholesale sector from over the previous 12 months, and recognises those outstanding individuals who have excelled across the field.
