Plant-based produce firm Glebe Farm Foods has launched its new oat milk drink Tea-rrific Oat, which has been made specifically for drinking tea.

GLUTEN-FREE produce firm Glebe Farm Foods has rolled out its latest plant-based innovation with its new PureOaty Tea-rrific drink.

Aiming to offer consumers a plant-based milk option that has been crafted with drinking tea in mind, the new Tea-rrific Oat Milk will be available from Morrisons stores on 21 October with an RSP of £2.09.

The firm said the new launch comes about as it noted a gap in the market for plant-based milk options specifically made for tea. Glebe Farm said that while many are looking to craft drinks to match with coffee, the PureOaty producer believes there is a key demand for an oat milk option specifically for tea.

This comes after a 2022 UK & Tea Infusions Association report that found tea marked a greater consumption occasion for milk than coffee did, sitting at 48% against coffee’s 28%.

And the new launch could prove a popular one across the market as Glebe Farm also noted a blind test of 120 consumers where 74% said they enjoyed Tea-rrific’s “smooth tea experience”, 75% said it maintained the right colour for tea and a further 79% said they would look to purchase Tea-rrific for themselves.

Philip Rayner, owner and managing director of Glebe Farm Foods, said: “We’re incredibly proud to introduce ‘Tea-rrific to the market. We saw a clear need for a high-quality, plant-based alternative that could truly enhance the tea-drinking experience.

“Our team has worked tirelessly to perfect this product, and we believe it will set a new standard for oat drinks in tea. With ‘Tea-rrific’, we’re not just offering an alternative; we’re offering a superior choice that caters to all tea lovers, including those with gluten sensitivities.”
