We highlight new products that Scottish c-store retailers might want to stock
1. YuBi Bar Honeycomb and Chocolate Orange flavours
PLANT-BASED protein bar firm Bar1 Brands has grown its YuBi Bar range with two new flavour additions.
Aiming to inject more excitement into the category, the two new protein bars include Honeycomb and Chocolate Orange flavours and boast 10g of protein per 35g bar.
Falling in line with the rest of the range, the new bars are plant-based, gluten-free and also dairy-free, helping to meet the dietary needs of a range of consumers.
Further to this, each bar is only 99 calories, appealing to those health conscious consumers out there who are searching for more better-for-you snacking options.
2. Chicken Fajita flavoured Pot Noodle
POT Noodle is set to bring the fiesta with its new Chicken Fajita flavoured variant.
Following a consumer vote which saw the new flavour pitted against Pepperoni Pizza and Full English, Chicken Fajita triumphed and will roll out to all major supermarkets and convenience stores from September, with an RRP of £1.20.
A spokesperson for Unilever – the parent company behind the Pot Noodle brand – said: “Securing a staggering 48% of the vote, Pot Noodle is set to bring Chicken Fajita to stores across the UK.
“Pot Noodle has a proven track record of success in developing products based on shopper feedback.”
3. Acti-Snack Protein Crunch and Good Gut Granolas
GRANOLA snack brand Acti-Snack has added to its breakfast range with two new products.
Rolling out to select retailers and online stores, the brand has launched its new Protein Crunch Triple Chocolate Granola and Good Gut Triple Nut Granola with an RSP of £4.25 per 350g-380g pack.
A spokesperson for the brand said: “The new products join the current Acti-Snack line-up of Protein Crunch Peanut Butter Granola and Keto Dark Chocolate Almond Granola, offering a range of delicious flavours paired with functional benefits.”
4. Sheba Kitten Mixed Selection in Gravy and Chicken & Salmon
MARS Petcare has expanded on its portfolio of pet meals with the launch of its new Sheba Kitten range.
Aiming to future-proof the petcare category by recruiting cat lovers to the Sheba brand from the first day of ownership, the Sheba Kitten range includes a Mixed Selection in Gravy as well as a Chicken & Salmon variant.
The newcomers are available across grocery, wholesale, convenience and specialist pet channels now with both SKUS appearing in a multipack of 12x85g format at an RRP of £6.87, as well as the much larger 40x85g variant at £18.47 RRP.
