Retailer competition offers £1,000 towards energy bills
SOFT drinks giant Britvic is offering retailers the chance to bag £1,000 each to go towards their energy bills as costs threaten to soar once again.
Five lucky retailers will receive a cash prize in the firm’s ‘Power Up Your Store’ promo to help keep the lights on in store as well as a bespoke planogram for their store.
The firm said will help to power up soft drink sales by prioritising Britvic’s on-the-go drinks brands including Pepsi, Tango, Lipton Iced tea, Rockstar Energy and Robinsons Ready to Drink.
The new competition comes after Britvic conducted research with the Association for Convenience Stores (ACS) which found that over half of the retailers surveyed expressed concern about rising energy bills.
ACS research has found that 85% of retailers surveyed had experienced an increase in energy costs in the past six months, prompting Britvic to look to support retailers where the firm believes it can make the most difference.
Retailers can enter the draw by visiting Britvic’s dedicated trade website At Your Convenience, registering and completing the short form for the competition. Retailers must do so by 4 April.
Ben Parker, commercial director at Britvic, said: “We’re supporting retailers by powering up their stores alongside powering up their sales with our on-the-go range.
“We understand the pressures retailers continue to face with the increasing cost of doing business, so we must support the heart of many people’s communities and give back to retailers in ways that can truly make a difference.
“In fact, the ACS research shows that all the respondents surveyed were interested in financial assistance from brands and suppliers.
“We will continue offering our unrivalled advice and support, making the soft drinks category successful nationwide wide our well-loved brands.”
