Aston Manor believes that a range of formats will pay dividends this summer.

VALUE and convenience remain an absolute must for many consumers in the drinks categories.

When it comes to drinking at home this summer, plenty of customers will want to keep it as simple as possible, says Aston Manor, which reckons its wide range of options will give shoppers plenty of choice for the summer sun.

This focus on convenience means consumers will be looking for the pack that best suits them – making it important for retailers stock up on wide variety of formats.

Calli O’Brien, head of marketing at Aston Manor Cider, has therefore suggested retailers should keep a range of single cider cans stocked up in the chiller for the convenience of a cool drink as soon as the customer is home.

But O’Brien added that larger formats will also have their part to play.

She said: “Larger multipacks are also important and ensure retailers can help consumers keep their supply stocked up to enjoy with friends and family during the summer season.

“Product packs such as the pint cans in our Crumpton Oaks four-pack are a popular option to enable consumers to keep their supply stocked up with single-serve options.”

While consumers will stick to their trusted options in cider, there could be some looking to branch out into something a bit different to help shake things up this summer and O’Brien reckons Aston’s Chardolini brand can offer this difference.

O’Brien said: “From trying new flavours of loved cider such as Crumpton Oaks through to branching out from wine into perry with our ‘new look’ Chardolini, consumers welcome the chance to try something new.”
