Espresso with an extra kick
RENOWNED Italian drinks firm Luxardo is bringing an espresso coffee liqueur to the UK.
The 27% ABV Luxardo Espresso Liqueur is produced in Italy – the home of the espresso coffee serve – and is said to stand out from other lower-strength rivals.
Initially being offered to the on-trade by Amber Beverage UK, with a guide retail price of £26-28 per 700ml bottle, an off-trade launch will follow.
That’s because the brand says the drink is “easy to enjoy at home without complex cocktail mixing”.
The newcomer is made from a 30-day heated infusion of selected fine coffee from Brazil, Colombia and Kenya, predominantly Arabica, with added neutral spirit.
Luxardo says it has a dark chocolate and bitter espresso aroma, and a bold and rich espresso flavour with hints of sweet vanilla.
Amber Beverage UK marketing manager Sarah Gandy said: “Luxardo Espresso will elevate the experience of enjoying a coffee liqueur.
“The flavour and nuances of quality coffee are universally understood and fans will appreciate this sophisticated new liqueur.”
