SUPPORTERS of GroceryAid in Scotland have bold plans for music event Checkout Scotland in 2023.
The inaugural shindig last year, with headline acts Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Scouting for Girls, The Feeling and Scottish radio favourite George Bowie, was a huge success.
This year’s bash, set for 31 August, will once again take place at Barras Art & Design in Glasgow with up to 1,000 people expected to attend. Entry will cost £75 plus VAT per person.
GroceryAid fundraising manager Nicky Jaggar-Ryan told the event committee: “It was incredible to see so many great Scottish businesses and colleagues coming together last year and so we’re going bigger and better in 2023. The awareness this will raise for GroceryAid in Scotland is just fantastic.”
The festival will bring together hundreds of retailers, wholesalers, Scottish brands and their staff – with street food, bars and sponsored stands alongside the musical acts.
AG Barr has confirmed its Irn-Bru sponsorship again as part of the festival.
GroceryAid Scotland co-chair Peter Steel said: “Whether you would like to reward your team for their hard work, showcase your brand and product or simply support the charity that supports the Scottish grocery industry, we would love to see you there.”
