FRUIT is the fourth most popular breakfast food after cereal, bakery and porridge, according to data from Mintel.
And 36% of breakfast eaters say health reasons have prompted them to change what they have during the last 12 months.
Post-pandemic, people are also looking for convenient items that can be consumed on the go.
Andrew Bradshaw, UK sales director at Dole Sunshine Company, said: “This is where Dole’s fruit in juice cups range can really come into play here as a credible option.
“They can be enjoyed at the breakfast table on their own or as a topping on yoghurt or porridge, but also as a snack on the way to work or at your desk.”
Meeting shopper demand for no/low-sugar content, all Dole’s fruit in juice and fruit in jelly cups have zero added sugar, artificial sweeteners or flavourings and are less than 100 calories per serving.
Two new additions are Mango in juice and Pear in juice, coming in handy four packs with a £2.19 RRP.
Bradshaw added that the Dole packaged fruit range offered good value, had long shelf lives and could be one of consumers’ five-a-day.
